Ron stood at the bottom of the stairs, Hermione one stair behind him. While waiting for Ginny to come down, he casually watched as his mother and Fleur ran around; dinner arrangements, dress colors, cake designs, flower arrangements. It was all too much and he was getting a headache just watching them.

When Ginny had finally met them at the bottom of the stairs, Ron turned to look at her. "You ready?" he asked, a small smirk on his face. "Here goes nothing."

Walking to the middle of the kitchen it seemed as though his mother had not even noticed the three entering the room.

"Mum?" he said. No answer. "Mum?" he said, his voice a little louder. Still no answer. "MUM?" he said, almost at a shout.

"No need to scream, Ronald," Mrs. Weasley said, not even picking up her head.

"Sorry. You didn't hear me so I had to raise my voice," he said a little sheepishly. "We," he said, motioning to the other two, "have a question to ask."

"Well, get on with it, dear. We have things to do," she said, pointing something out to Fleur.

"Yeah, we know, which is why we were going to ask you if we could go to Diagon Alley for a few hours. You know, to get out of the way."

Mrs. Weasley had stopped, which made Ron open and close his mouth a couple of times, nothing coming out. "Diagon Alley? With everything going on out there right now?"

"But Mum, it's only for a couple of hours and we're going to stick together. No running off or anything. Maybe stop by Fred and George's. Just get a butterbeer or something. Just to get out of this house," he said, motioning towards Fleur as she was bent over some wedding book. One of the hundreds.

Mrs. Weasley surveyed the group. "I don't know."

Ron looked at Ginny who was looking at their mother. He almost had to laugh at the look she was giving her.

"Mum. We'll be home before dark. We won't go into any back streets. No trouble at all. I swear," Ron said, pleadingly.

Looking at the three, Mrs. Weasley's shoulders slumped a bit. "Oh, I suppose. I know the need to get away from here. Even if for just a few hours. But. I. Want. You. Home. By. Seven. You hear me Ronald Weasley?"

"Yes. Yes, of course. Thanks Mum. We owe you one. Or, you know, a lot."

Turning to look at Ginny and Hermione, he asked, "You guys ready?"

Ginny smiled at her mother in ecstatic gratitude, and faced Ron, "More so than you could ever know," she replied with a laugh, grabbing the purse she had set on a countertop a few feet away. Admittedly, there wasn't much in it, but she could buy a butterbear and a few other little things. She was unsure, however, on how they planned to get there. Hermione could Apparate, but she couldn't yet.

"How are we getting there?" Ginny asked, pausing where she stood on the rug and looking at the fireplace.

"The Floo Network. Just seems safer. Easier. And seeing as how you can't Apparate yet and I can't Apparate legally, it's probably the best bet. I'll go first," Ron said, stepping up to the fireplace.

"Diagon Alley," he shouted, stepping into the fire. A few seconds later, he was brushing himself off as Ginny and Hermione came through the fireplace.

Hermione grinned in utmost relief and raced down to the fireplace after Ginny and Ron. Ron went first and then Ginny followed. 'DIAGON ALLEY!' She shouted happily, knowing that it would get her away from Fleur. She stood up once she was spit out of the fire, she straightened up and brushed herself off. 'So, ar we ready to have some fun?' She asked with a smile.

"Absolutely," he said, taking her hand and walking out onto the street. It wasn't nearly as colorful and vibrant as it once was, before the imminent threat of Voldemort, but it was far better than being stuck in the Burrow with that lot.

"Where to first?" he asked to the two girls.

“Books. Books first, and then we can goof off as much as we please.” Hermione said with a resolute face.

Ginny rolled her eyes and laughed. Of course Hermione would want to go to a bookstore.

"Eventually, I want to go see our older brothers. But just because I like their store," she clarified, "and at some point, we must get food. It's absolutely mandatory."

“Right you are, food is totally mandatory. So is dessert of some sugary sort!” Hermione said with a grin. “As for the twins, I have no qualms about visiting them. It'd be nice to see them and the store.”

"Good!" Ginny stated cheerily, "I think we should look into quality quidditch supplies for moment, too."
