Personality:

Promise is a kind person. She always has a nice comment for people she cares about and has a ready smile. She has a different side that she rarely shows others. A serious, mature, slightly dark side but due to its rare emergence it's really not that important. She dislikes the house rivalries at Hogwarts and wishes that they weren't in place. She is an observer, taking in everything around her, everything she reads, everything she hears and storing it in her mind. Promise is a little socially retarded but due to her kind nature it doesn't seem to stand in the way of her making friends.

Family:

Promise lives on a huge ranch in Montana with her parents, Alexi and Cheska Dae. Her father is a research archaeologist with focus on ancient magical civilizations while her mother is a linguistic anthropologist, specialized in ancient languages and decifering ancient languages. Promiise's parents travel a lot because of their work. They were a bit scarce in Promise's childhood. Promise was mostly raised by her older brother who died when she was 12.

Promise's maternal grandparents (the Whiteraven family) live in northern Idaho. Her grandmother is half Hawaiian but her grandfather is purely native. The Whiteravens love and are very protective of their granddaughter. They are the proclaimed enemies of the paternal side of her family and fear her falling into their clutches constantly.

Her Paternal grandparents (the Dae family) are gypsies and travel about the country and the world but their home is mainly in northwestern Washington. They have a large, family estate in Romania but they rarely visit. Their motivations have always been to bring Promise (or her brother) back into the family. Promise's grandmother very recently died of a rare magical parasite. Promise very shortly after her grandmother's death rejoined her clan and is to assume leadership at her Gradfather's retirement.

Levicorpus History (beyond the Lexicon) :

Promise transferred to Hogwarts for her seventh year and with a whirl of confusion. She spent her first nights in Gryffindor tower, but was sorted into Slytherin. Her life grew more complicated as she made friends with all sort of both nice and dangerous people on both sides of the war (including Neville Longbottom, Draco Malfoy, and the Moonstone clan). She found herself changing from carefree student to major player in gypsy politics. On November 1st she vanished along the other gypsy clans in England. They're counsel had finally decided to stay out of Voldemort's war....at least for now.
