Personality:

Moody is gruff on the exterior, exhaustively meticulous about his own security, and paranoid to a fault. He has a soft spot for children and those who see past his gruffness to the golden heart he tries so hard not to reveal.

Wife Mary, and two children, Ciaran and Ethan, all killed by a Dark Wizard.

Levicorpus History (beyond the Lexicon) :

Moody has had a hard couple of years. After the loss of Dumbledore, he was placed in charge of the Order, but with the limited amount of information he had available, had no clue what to do with it. For a few months, he dived into himself, unable to rectify his grief over not being there to defend his best friend. When he came back, he tried to take the reigns of a horse that was already out of control. He's made several mistakes, but hopefully, he'll be able to get the information he needs to fill Dumbledore's very large shoes.
