Poems

I make absolutely no claims at being a poet, but every now and again I take a stab at it. Once in blue moon, I actually come up with something presentable. Here are my favorites:

Shattered

I broke a mirror today
Just to see the shatter glass
Diamonds fell like shards
The chime hollowed tinkly
My skin cut the edge
And the silver back stained my blood

Threshold

Come in my old friend.
I greet you.
With a steady hand,
I meet you.
Tease me no more.
I beseech you.
Carry me over heaven's threshold.

While I live,
I'm slowly dying.
To keep pace
I've been trying.
And tried to figure
Who is lying
About what lies past saintly door.

Rays of light
I'll be adorning.
Hold my breath
Wait for morning
Upon that time
I will be shorning
This callous form of darkness mold.
