Promise paced, her face a
mask of cold, stony anger. Charm was sitting on her shoulder with her claws dug
into the skin in rage and Promise was too preoccupied to notice the pain
induced by Charm's claws. She could KILL Luca. Not only had he treated the
whole situation badly but he'd ruined the reputation of her two closest friends
at Hogwarts. Not only that but she was powerless to help either of them. She
hated being helpless.
In anger she burst into the nearest room, which happened to be Moaning Myrtle's
bathroom, Yelled "GOD DAMNIT!" then stormed back out leaving poor
Myrtle to pout and wonder.
Promise continued to stalk all the way to the Piano room on the first floor and
started to pound out a very loud and intense sounding Fur Elise. She pounded
the song out, and it soothed her. It was amazing how it could be such a
relaxing song but could be played in such a frustration-relieving way. She
didn't care if all of the lower three floors of the castle could probably hear
her, for she was playing with a lot of intensity. It felt good though, she felt
her anger fading with every key.
After doing that she felt much better and stood to go outside. Eclipse would
love to get a run in, and it would let the rest of her rage drain away to ride
her. The fresh air would feel good.
Cho was on her way back to her room after the
office incident to think things over when she ran into Promise. "Promise!
Hey!" she said very relieved to see her.
Promise immediately looked relieved. "Well
you're not in hysterics so I'm guessing that you're not fired. Thank
goodness." She smiled at Cho, "I was pretty upset. I may yet kill
Luca...don't tell on me if he mysteriously disappears ok?" She winked at
Cho.
Cho was happy she had someone to talk to. She
sighed and said, "The only reason she didn’t fire me was because she couldn’t
bring in anyone else for the job. Isn’t that crap? I mean, Blaise explained to
her the truth, and she STILL thought to fire me." Cho frowned "I bet
you, right now, Luca isn’t even being punished for his article. We have to do something about him…and quick.
He’s bad news, Promise…I’m not even kidding."
Promise bit her lip. She didn't want to dislike McGonagall. Her mother had told her
Headmistress McGonagall was someone to be respected, but she was finding it
hard. She took a deep, calming breath and moved on from that, it was best to ignore
it for now.
"You're right about Luca. I'm very upset with him. I wanted to like the
kid very much but now I just want to tear off his face with my bare hands. I
don't care what his excuses are. He knew he was going to cause damage to not
only both of your reputations but YOUR career."
Promise's eyes were flashing angrily. She'd
had just about enough of Luca's meddling.
