Lucius knew that it must be important if the Dark Lord would summon just he and Snape alone, and he felt a rush of exhileration at the idea that he was finally going to be given something useful to do; finally going to be able to prove his worth. He and Severus both dropped to their knees as they approached the Dark Lord and each man kissed the hems of his robes, only rising when bidden.

"Lucius, Severus, so kind of you to join me." His usual "magnanimity" was not lost on either of them, and they simply bowed their heads in acknowledgment of his greatness. "I have a rather important job which only my two most loyal servants are appropriate for." Lucius felt himself smile at the compliment. It was good to know that he was still in the Dark Lord's good books, despite his son's . . . failure. "One of our most powerful colleagues is still locked up by our enemies and she needs to be released." They both knew that he was talking about Adara Weasley. Certainly one of the most intelligent and . . . intriguing witches that Lucius had ever known. There was something about red hair . . . even the Dark Lord himself had a "soft spot" as it were for the woman. "Lucius, you must be fairly familiar with the place after your recent . . . vacation there, so I trust that there will be no problems." It was as simple as that and after a pause, which was almost certainly for effect, Voldemort waved his hand and they were dismissed.

Both men looked to each other for a moment and quickly apparated away.

When they arrived on the lawn of the riddle house, Snape pulled off his mask and smirked at Lucius. He loved the respect from The Dark Lord. They both did.

"In 10 minutes the guard shift changes. We'll have to rely on your knowledge. Although Adara is in a different ward, I doubt it will be much different."

Severus face returned to neutral and he began to transfigure his clothing into something he assumed Mad-eye might wear.

Lucius nodded curtly, Snape's former association with the so-called 'Order of the Phoenix' would come in handy and he had no doubt why the Dark Lord had assigned the two of them. Lucius watched as Snape took on a remarkable resemblance to the Aurors and Lucius began transfiguring his own clothing and appearance. Gone was the long blonde hair and for a moment he thought about disguising himself as Arthur himself, but remembering Adara's previous disemboweling of a red-headed Auror, he decided that would not be the best idea.

Once their disguises were complete, Lucius pulled out his pocket-watch and nodded to Snape, before they both apparated to the Azkaban grounds. Lucius shuddered as the familiar wave of abandonment washed over him. He hoped Severus hadn't noticed that particular movement, but after a quick glance about the building he motioned towards a side entrance. There would only be one guard at the far less frequented entrance, making any possible identification less likely. Not to mention the obvious increased simplicity of disposing of one guard, compared with the half-dozen which frequented the main entrance.

They approached the man, and Lucius nodded curtly, as though they were precisely where they were supposed to be (the irony of which did not escape him) and the guard hardly glanced at them as they passed him by.

"I believe Adara is in the tower." Lucius whispered to Snape as they continued through the dark corridors. Somewhere in the distance they heard a wailing scream and if Lucius hadn't known better, he would have thought it belonged to an animal. Or a child.

He barely glanced at his former residence as they moved past that particular wing, knowing that if he did he would almost certainly lose the concentration, which he needed at the moment.

Adara adored the games she played with the guards of Azkaban. It seemed like a simple staring match was the only form of amusement left for her in her current situation. She began her nightly routine. She crawled to the walls of her cage on all fours, saying nothing. With the slowest of motions she would grasp the bars and stare at the wizards and curl her lips into a frown. The look she received was that of fear. Every guard knew what she would do if given any opportunity to grasp a wand. Sadly though these actions were to be carried out by others this night.

Adara's eyes flared, and she smiled a genuine smile as a familiar flash of blonde came into view.

"To the left," Snape murmured to Lucius. All it took was a glance of the fiery red hair, and the smallest cell in the room to know it was her.

They took a sharp turn in unison and were face to face with the guard. "Shifts up bub." When the man gave them a frown indicating that he had just started his shift Snape pulled his wand and crucio'd the poor man.

Lucius grinned as the guard fell to the ground with a shriek, which would hopefully not be noticed above the others that occasionally rose through the building. As much as he would have liked to stay and take his revenge upon his former captors, Lucius' eyes fell on Adara's cage and then upon the witch herself. He grinned and moved quickly to the cell, raising an eyebrow at the woman.

"If I remember correctly, Adara, you were in a similar state of . . . 'imprisonment' the last time we met." He aimed his wand at the lock, which clicked, allowing the door to swing open.

The guard twisted and screamed in pain, contorting his body in a desperate act to stop the pain. The sounds produced and the flailing motions made by the man were like the Opera to Adara. Her eyes grew wide as she began to giggle with pleasure.

"About time" She said as the screams subsided. "I was beginning to think that my fun had ended for good."

Snape muttered for the curse to stop when he'd thought the guard was worn. He was wrong apparently since a few moments after it ended the guard snapped out his wand and suddenly tethers began to bind Snape’s arms and chest.

"Why Lucius, some things are better left unsaid...or just left for other occasions"

Adara smiled as her allies returned to their original forms.

Raising herself up off the ground she knew she would soon leave for good, she could barely walk when she realized what was happening to Severus and knew what fun was to come. She quickly snatched Lucius wand from his fingers and with a smile, uttered the words she was dying to say for years.

"Aveda Kedavra!" She cried with smile

Waves of green light shot from her borrowed wand and hit the man square in the back.

Adara couldn't help but think about how much she had missed this feeling.

Severus stood and tried to re-gain some dignity. "Adara," he nodded.

Lucius reached over and snatched his wand back from Adara, smiling despite his annoyance at her disarming him. Of course, he was happy to see Adara, but still more than slightly anxious to be out of this place before he became re-acquainted with the place. "Let's get out of here, shall we?"

"How lovely to see you again Severus," Adara nearly whispered.

Adara's body was weak from the sudden explosion of power after a long drought of magic use. She released the wand back into its owner's possession and stubbornly tried to stand on her own. It was only when she nearly feel to the ground that she grasped onto Lucius's arm, feeling the once familiar luxurious texture of his robes.

"It seems I am in need of a shower" She grinned as she inhaled the scent of freedom still on her rescuers. As much as Adara hated to admit it, this place had taken it's toll on her and it would take some time to release the arm that she so tightly hung on to.

"Come on then," he said shallowly. Noting the closeness and comfort level between the two, he smirked and began to stalk away in front, leaving them to their business.

Feeling the unusual weight of Adara on one arm, Lucius attempted to shift, so as to help her while still following Snape at a fairly quick pace. Surprisingly, they found little resistance as they headed towards the exit and the few guards they did meet were easy enough to dispose of. They finally reached the grounds of Azkaban and gripping Adara, Lucius and Snape apparated back to the Riddle House.
