Molly made a hurried check of herself in the mirror. Her hair was more or less behaving, and she had put on one of her less worn robe and jumper sets. "That will have to do," Molly told her reflection. She walked out to the garden and watched the skies.

Fleur joined her shortly. "Do you see them yet?" she asked and murmured something in French. "I hope zey do not get lost. Papa simply refused to take a portkey. 'e 'ad an argument with the portkey office. Bill offered to sooth it out, but Papa is very proud. I sometimes think too much so."

"I hope they don't mind staying here," Molly said. "I'm sure a hotel would have been more comfortable for them."

Fleur laughed. "Perhaps, but I really wanted my family to meet my new family. Gabrielle is very excited to see 'Arry and Ron again, and Mama does so want to meet you properly. The wedding will be too busy for us to spend any real time together before Bill and I are off."

"Yes, I suppose so," Molly said with a surpressed sigh.

"'arry is a bit preoccupied of late, I think," Fleur continued. "Is it just the war troubling him or--Oh! There zey are!" Molly followed the point Fleur's fingers to a point in the sky. She had to smile inspite of herself. She had always been fond of winged horses, and the one drawing the Delacour's carriage was a pretty one.

"Ginny! Ron! They're here!" Molly called towards the house. Fleur gave her an indulgent smile. The carriage landed just past the garden gate, and Molly went to meet them.

Harry saw the carriage that brought Fleur’s parents to the Burrows.   He hadn’t seen Gabrielle since the tri-wizard tournament and was therefore thrilled to see her.

Ron walked out of the house, standing near the door, and almost laughed at the sight. "Oh yeah. Because we have room for a carriage and horses," he mumbled under his breath before plastering a smile on his face and joining his mother and Fleur. Here we go, he thought to himself.

"Oh good, there you boys are," Molly said, when Harry and Ron appeared. "Why don't you help the Delacours with their bags? I'm putting them in Fred and George's room. And I think Arthur set up the shed were we used to keep the car for the horse and carriage...I'd best check. Arthur?!"

Ginny made a miserable expression that only Harry and Ron could see before turning to her mother with a falsified smile, "What do you need me for, mum?" she asked, looking their French houseguests over.

"Why don't you take Mrs. Delacour and Gabrielle into the house and fix them a nice spot of tea, Ginny?" said Molly.

"I will help you, Ginny!" Fleur said enthusiastically. "I have learned to make the most excellent cucumber sandwiches since I have come here. Bill is very fond of them, and they go very well with any sort of tea."

For a moment, Ginny considered giving her mother a pleading look but reconsidered. Everyone was making some sacrifices... her mother would be in no mood for it, and Fleur was just trying to help. A little too successfully for my taste. Ginny nodded to her and smiled as though she thought it sounded like a good idea. She regarded the Delacours with a smile and a jovial 'hello,' beckoning the pair of them inside and setting on a pot of earl gray as Fleur set to making some cucumber sandwiches.
