At around 8am the following morning, long after his potion was bottled and put away on the appropriate shelve, Severus decided a shower was in order. After being dragged around and transfigured with Bella his cleanlyness was down to a minimum.

He went back to his chamber, and put up stronger and practically unbreakable wards (although his usually were tougher than average) and made his way to the bathroom. He took off his layers and layers of clothing and turned the shower on. He ajusted the water temperature, and then took the two giant steps over the big side. He grabbed the black bar of soap off the floor and lathered his body. Once the suds were thoughroughly rinsed away he rubbed the bar through his greasy locks. He glanced at the shampoo and conditioner on the floor and made a mental note to throw them in the trash when he's done. I hate it when people leave their belongings behind. I shouldn't have to clean up someone elses mess. he sighed.

He washed the soap from his hair and shut off the water. Grabbing his towel off the shelf to his left, he wrapped it around his waste, then picked up the two left over bottles and dumped them into the trash. He set to shaving soon after, and got dressed into his usual.

Once suitable to leave his chambers he exited and put the wards back up. He then set off through the manor in search of Lucius.

Lucius looked about the dark halls of the Riddle house and breathed a deep sigh. It was good to be re-acquainted with the old house after what had seemed an eternity in prison. Of course, he could reassure himself with the fact that the Dementors had not been there to torture him, (in which case, he surely would not have escaped at all), and yet his Auror captors had not been kind. The musky odour that pervaded the walls and floor seemed all the more pungent and Lucius was suddenly all the more eager to return to the Malfoy estate. However, there were pressing issues which held him from his home for the moment.

A creak behind him caused his wand to fall to his palm and he turned with it raised, an unforgivable on the edge of his mind. A moment later the wand returned to its place within his robes and Lucius smirked, an expression which barely covered his true pleasure as he watched his old friend approach.

"Severus."

"Lucius."

A smirk played at the edge of his lips.

"Out of Azkaban so soon?" Snape enquired. "I suppose you had some... help." He teased.

Snape knew very well that at the last meeting they had made arrangements for Goyle Senior and a few other less respected followers to bust him out. It seemed as though they had been successfull.

Snape began to walk towards the kitchen and mumbled for Lucius to follow. He sat down, and folded his hands together placing them on the table. He pulled his hands apart and motioned for Malfoy to take a seat across from him.

"I suppose you'd like to hear about Draco's progress?"

Lucius eyed the kitchen chair which Snape now offered for him to take and physically raised an eyebrow at it. It looked older than he was and although he usually appreciated antiques, this certainly did not qualify as one. He leaned forward, handkerchief in hand and dusted the chair's surface before cautiously setting himself in it and returning to their conversation.

"I certainly would." In fact, Draco was the only reason Lucius hadn't yet apparated home. "Is he staying here?" He couldn't help but cringe at the idea of a Malfoy staying in such surroundings. Although considering the events of the past few months, he assumed it was necessary.

"The Dark Lord has kindly offered Draco a place to stay. Meanwhile though he's been running small errands for myself, under the instruction of our Master."

Severus was not looking forward to what would inevitably be Lucius's wrath. He didn't think he'd take kindly to a Malfoy becomming an errand boy.

Lucius' hand twitched in the direction of his wand the moment the words 'Draco' and 'errand' appeared in the same sentence. Severus never did seem to respect the superiority of their pure blood, although the more understanding part of Lucius' nature attributed that Severus' half-blood status. He sighed. As good of a Death Eater (and friend) as Severus had always been, he never would understand the trials that came with being pure blood.

"Severus-"

Bellatrix walked through the halls, looking for Snape.

"He must have used it by now" She muttered to herself as she briskly walked into the kitchen. She looked from Snape, who had ordinary hair, to a man with platinum blonde hair.

"Lucius, what a surprise!" She walked over to her brother in law and gave him a handshake.

Lucius's annoyance deepened when he was interrupted by a new voice from behind them. He turned and raised an eyebrow at Bellatrix as she entered the room.

"Bellatrix, how nice." His tone clearly informed her that he thought it to be anything but. "Still meddling in other peoples' affairs and conversations, I see."

Bella walked calmly towards a chair, and sat promptly in it. She could tell that Lucius was annoyed, but couldn't give a damn if he was. She was ecstatic, no more running around after Draco!

"Of course Lucius, did you expect anything else." She sniggered, trying to hold in her maniacal laughter. Lucius had just stolen Snape’s Custard Cream and was quickly eating it!

Lucius stopped, his fork inches from the pie. After working closely with the barely edible food of Azkaban, he had learned not to trust any food, even if it was as tempting as the pie which sat before him. Eying Snape, Lucius raised his wand and quickly cast a charm over the pie. It only took a few seconds for it to begin glowing a sickly brown colour and Lucius instinctively pushed it away from he and Snape.

"It appears someone has been tampering with your food, Severus. You certainly know how to make enemies quickly. Even among friends." His gaze flickered to Bella, studying her reaction, before darting back to Snape. It was just her sort of humour, after all.

Severus glared at Bella. "It would seem so."

"Moving on however. We should probably discuss..." Snape stopped suddenly. The three of them winced and their hands moved to their burning forearms.

They all departed wordlessly, going to their chambers to grab their robes and masks.

Bella was upset, Snape’s hair was its normal hair colour. Good Leprechaun Gold, wasted. She had more of it, and her mood peaked when she saw Snape eating a custard cream.
